High Risk Emergency Responsibility

Project Case Study: Emergency Response & Fire Services for Gorgon Barrow Island LNG Project, Australia

Parabellum provided Chevron specialist emergency response and fire services on its Gorgon Barrow Island LNG project through construction, commissioning and into steady-state operations. This covered offshore marine, aviation and the LNG facility for 8,500 people at the peak of construction. Half a million passengers a year passed through the airport protected by our 24-hour professional personnel and equipment.

Not only did we provide operational coverage, we were instrumental in the airport license holder gaining CASA approvals for ongoing operation of the facilities. Our teams worked as partners on an LNG site that was heavily-scrutinized by the regulator.

The safety case was approved, allowing the site, which was classed as a major hazard facility, to commence operations.
