The Ro-Vac MKIII vacuum recovery system uses a powerful driver and hydraulic pump drive to remove liquids and oils floating on water, on the ground or beach. The whole system is designed to be very versatile at a lower cost than conventional vacuum trucks.
The vacuum pump can generate up to 95% vacuum although factory set at 85%. It can handle air flow up to 6,800 litre per minute / 240 cubic feet per minute. It is driven by an electric start diesel engine, mounted in a fully galvanised frame. The Ro-Vac MKIII vacuum recovery system is normally supplied with large diameter wheels and retractable tow bar for road and off-road towing, permitting access to many areas of operation including pipelines and beaches.
The Ro-Vac MKIII incorporates a high-pressure, water pump for jetting contaminated surfaces. It is hydraulically activated by a PVG lever on the main frame. A trigger operated hand lance and chemical dosing educator with pick-up tube are included in the package. The Ro-Vac can generate low pressure in either an open top oil drum using a domed vacuum head or a wheeled tank – see Ro-Tanker. Oil is drawn up into the tank or drum without passing through the vacuum
pump. Wheels can be removed for skid mount on board vessels.
The Ro-Vac MK III vacuum recovery system uses a twin cylinder 15kW Hatz diesel engine with a vacuum pump driven by hydraulics rather than a belt drive giving the operator even more operational control. It is an especially effective tool for beach cleaning and pipeline spill operations and used in a variety of modes according to the spill situation.
The Ro-Vac MK III’s power plant comes in a robust galvanized steel frame with engine vibration mountings. It includes the large diameter wheels and large footprint tyres suitable for both road and off road towing. The unit also incorporates a high-pressure jet washer with hand lance. The washer is also hydraulic drive via a PVG control valve. The hand lance is trigger activated and a chemical dosing ejector nozzle with pick-up tube allows for chemical dosing.
